Welcome.
Willem’s Rus is a privately owned caravan park situated in the malaria free Dinokeng Big Five Game Reserve and it is perfect for getaways from the rush of city life. It is an outdoor experience in beautiful indigenous bushveld that will help you relax.

This is the only free roaming Big 5 Game Reserve in Gauteng, a mere 45 minutes drive from Pretoria.

You can be certain to relax and spend quality time with friends and family around a camp fire under the cosmos of stars. Willem's Rus camping experience is unique in the sense that it is possible to spot the big five from your own campsite, only 35km north of Pretoria.

Campsites:

This tranquil bushveld destination offers 25 demarcated, partially shaded campsites suited for caravans, campers, tents, bush trailers and vehicles fitted with roof top tents. Electricity, water and braais are available at all sites. Campsites are spacious.

Facilities include:

• Two neat ablution blocks.

• Indoor as well as outdoor scullery facilities.

• A unit for the emptying of porter potties.

• Separate open shower with toilet, basin and scullery facilities for the exclusive use of campsites 1,2 and 3.

• Two fire pits in a natural bomas for exclusive use of campsites 3 and 24.

• A large sparkling swimming pool, set in park like surrounding with lovely indigenous trees and green lawns.

• Wood and Ice will be available at reception.

Things To Do:

• Game drives. Please inquire at reception.

• There are two waterholes next to the camp enabling you to potentially view the Big Five from your campsite.

• Excellent bird watching.

• Activities such as archery, boat cruises, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, hiking, horse riding, hot air ballooning, microlight flights and paintball can all be separately booked within a 20km radius from Willem's Rus. For more info please contact reception.

• There are four restaurants within a 5km radius from Willem's Rus. For more info please contact reception.

Directions:

• Take the N1 north towards Warmbaths.

• 25,5km from the Pumelani toll gate, take the Hammanskraal/Boekenhoutskloof off ramp.

• Turn right at the stop sign and cross over the highway.

• After 300m turn left on the Rust de Winter Road.

• Travel for 10,6km on the Rust de Winter Road and then turn right onto the De Wagensdrift dirt road.

• Travel for 1.9km on the De Wagensdrift dirt road and turn right into Patrys road.

• Travel for 1,6km on Patrys road until you reach a game grid.

• Immediately after passing through the game grid, turn 145 degrees left and carry on 200m to the gate of Willem's Rus.
