General information

Adansonia Eco Safaries is a spectacular destination for everyone interested in wildlife, birding, photography, bow hunting, 4x4s and ecology. If chilling out far away from the city's maddening crowds is your thing, you will also fit right in.

Are you:

○ A nature lover who wish to go for long walks? There are so many different routes to take that it will take you more than a week to cover all of them. Whether you want to see the mammals (such as giraffe, zebra, water buck and blue wildebeest), reptiles (such as pythons, tortoises and lizards and geckos), birds (eagles, hawks, weavers, etc), trees (baobabs, matoppies, maroela, acasia ) or flowers (wild flowers galore), you will be thrilled to be here. Around each corner, and over each koppie, another adventure awaits.
○ A keen nature photographer? Then you will love Adansonia Eco Lodge for you will be able to photograph a variety of wild life up close. Also there will be plentiful photo opportunities with stunning sun rises, ancient baobab trees, winding sand rivesr, and an abundance of koppies.
○ A frustrated artist? Your creativity will know no bounds in this stunning environment. Bring your brushes and pencils as you will be in the mood from the word 'Go!'.
○ A bow hunter with scruples? A protected hide provides you with the opportunity to come close to various herds of antelope at a watering hole.
○ Simply keen on some time out? No need to walk anywhere to have a good time at Adansonia. You can simply relax on the stoep in front of your own cabin with a good book and a view to die for. Alternatively you can laze in one of the hummocks on the deck by the swimming pool.
○ On your way to Beit Bridge and need to sleep over before crossing the border early in the morning? Adansonia Eco Lodge are located on the corner of the N1 to Musina and the Doreen road less than 12 km outside Musina. No need to sleep in one of those cramped overnight accommodations if you can relax and make the stop over at Adansonia an exciting part of your journey. The border post is approximately 20 minutes drive away from Adansonia.
○ Living in Musina, Louis Trichardt (Makhado) or Polokwane and need a place to recharge your batteries? Adansonia is the ideal place to relax with family and friends for that special occasion. A weekend in the bush is just what you need.
○ A 4x4 enthusiast? You will find numerous exciting challenges at Adansonia Eco Lodge. Whilst many of the roads can be driven by normal vehicles, the majority needs a 4x4 to manoeuvre successfully. Some of the roads in the hill side are seriously challenging, even with a 4x4 vehicle and an experienced driver. The dry sand rivers that crisscross over the length and breadth of the farm also provide ample driving opportunities for quad bikes and 4x4s alike.
○ Visiting Venetia mine? Adansonia offers ideal accommodation to make the non-working hours worth your while.

The accommodation consist of four wooden thatch roof chalets on stilts, each overlooking a uniquely beautiful view over a exquisite dry river bed (which, in rainy seasons, turn into a torrent river), splendid rolling hills and majestic baobab trees.

All chalets are equipped with air-conditioning, electricity, hot water, bed linen and mosquito nets. The total number of guests that can be accommodated is ten, however this number can be increased if additional camping beds are requested.

Apart from the 4 chalets, the communal lodge provides a dining room, kitchen, bar area, swimming pool with a wooden deck, braai area and a lapa. All these areas provide you with breathtaking views.

Accommodation is provided on a self-catering basis and therefore the kitchen is equipped with all the basics that you may need. A gas stove and a fridge/freezer combination is also provided, and the lovely braai facilities (free wood included) sets the table for a unique dining experience in the bush with spectacular views (at day as well as night time - especially in full moon).

The swimming pool at the Adansonia Eco Lodge is a feature in itself. Situated on the edge of a wooden deck, the views from the pool are spectacular. Two hammocks are provided for those who prefer a nap to anything more strenuous.

For your tree spotting convenience, many of the spectacular trees around the lodge has been marked with their scientific and colloquial names. A small reference library is also available, with books on topics such as trees, reptiles, mammals, flowers and insects. A number of games is stacked away in the cupboard (playing cards, life size chess, poker, monopoly, etc).

One free game drive per day with an experienced driver on an open Land Rover is included.

Adansonia Eco Lodge provides an enriching, value-for-money, once in a lifetime bushveld experience for individuals, couples, families, and groups up to approximately 10 people. The lodge in its entirety will always be booked for your party's exclusive use.
