General information

The Wild Coast Jikeleza route is just outside East London, in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The route starts just outside the East London suburb of Beacon Bay and ends on the N2 some 30km away. For the most part it follows the T1 Road (also known as Schafli or the East Coast Resorts Road) with several stops on a number of tarred and well sign-posted trunk roads ranging from the T2 to the T10. The route is in a malaria free, pristine coastal area of temperate climate and exceptional natural beauty.

The true secret behind the success of the Wild Coast Jikeleza Route lies in the fact that families are valued wherever you go and there is, quite literally, something for everyone.

The Wild Coast Jikeleza Association manages and promotes the Wild Coast Jikeleza Route
Essentially a co-operative marketing organisation, the Wild Coast Jikeleza Association relies on membership fee income, sponsorships and income from events such as the annual Wild Coast Jikeleza Festival for its survival.
