Med24 Urgent Care has opened a Walk-in & After hours facility as an alternative to a hospital Casualty/Emergency rooms for minor ailments, injuries and emergencies. The facility is conveniently located at Victoria Medical Centre in Victoria Road opposite the Virgin Active Gym.
It is also close to Pick ‘n Pay, other shops and two pharmacies - MedPharm and Clicks with lots of parking available. The facility is linked to the Med24 Group of doctors that has served the Pietermaritzburg community for the past 16 years at the Emergency Centres of St Anne’s and MediClinic hospitals.
Many of Med24 Urgent Care doctors also work at the hospitals and are able to manage a wide range of minor medical and surgical emergencies. They are also trained to provide additional care such as casting fractures and suturing wounds and lacerations.
