Thembelihle Primary School

General information

Thembelihle Primary School ranges from Grade RRR to Grade 7 and provides a high quality education to almost 300 learners.

Our Aim:
To serve the greater Howick community, by providing a level of Christian based primary school education which equals the best in South Africa. By doing this, we will contribute to the creation of future solid citizens and leaders of our country who, in turn will contribute to the further of Howick and, indeed of South Africa's success.

Our Policy:
To admit as many children from previously disadvantaged communities as possible. Many are "Aids orphans", members of child headed families or being cared for by grandparents who only have their pensions on which to live.

Our Dream:
To expand the school by building more classrooms so as to increase the size of our primary school to offer two classes per grade.

In addition to the academic side of education, we are also already giving the children some extra-mural activities such as music, art and sport. We plan for more in the future. When expenses allow, we plan outings for all the grades to broaden their knowledge of a wider world.

We believe that dreams such as the above, could become realities with the assistance of funders, parents and volunteers. This is indeed a huge undertaking but we will proceed in faith an know that the Lord is with us in our endeavours.
