Offshore Sailing Academy was taken over in January 2016 by Gary Borchard and Karen Smith, while retaining the services and expertise of Libby Bonnet, co-founder of the Offshore Sailing Academy in 1979. Offshore is known throughout the world, as are Chris and Libby Bonnet, who pioneered all sail training in South Africa. Having been involved in this field over the last 30 years and having taught well over 30,000 students, this surely gives us quite a compendium of sailing knowledge. Werner De Kock, our Principal Instructor, has been with OSA for over 8 years, bringing extensive sailing experience to the team. All our instructors feel fervently about their profession and love getting out on the water!
