Pod Baby Carriers

General information

Pod Baby Carriers designs, manufactures and retails a Soft Shell Buckler carrier, a Mei Tai baby carrier and stretchy wrap carriers. We have a new shop called the Pod Baby Concept Store in Muizenberg.

Our goal is to have babies carried for as long as possible because we believe in the massive benefits of baby wearing. Research has shown that babies held skin to skin feel more secure, sleep better, cry less, gain weight faster and develop well socially.

So holding your baby is the best thing you can do!!!! Hug them, kiss them, tell them you love them, hold them close nurturing their bodies, minds and souls!

Pod Baby Carriers offers a one piece stretchy wrap, and a two piece stretchy called the Kangaroo which does not require all the tying and wrapping. We also have a beautifully styled soft shell carrier using organic hemp and a variety of printed cotton canvas options. This carrier is recommended from about 5 months old to 3 years or 20kg or from birth with the new Infant Insert.. We have now created an updated version of the traditional Mei Tei which features a backpack style waist belt for ease of wearing and better support. Our Pod Mei Tei is currently made from fun shwe shwe fabrics and is lightweight.
