Die Damhuis is the oldest building in Melkbosstrand and used to be a private homestead next to a dam. The building has been declared a National Monument and has been restored to its former glory to accommodate a restaurant on the beachfront. Only Beach Road lies between Die Damhuis and the main Melkbos Beach. Patrons are locals, visitors and people passing through. To be enjoyed by young and old together.
