SCAN RF Projects was established 15 years ago with its main aim being wireless communication systems integrator for the mining industry. Working on the mines we have a zero harm policy that is extended to our entire workforce.
With the harsh environments that many of these systems are installed in all our products are industrial “bullet proof” solutions. Some of our services are:
• Motorola MotoTRBO DMR (Digital mobile radio) – Since the core platform for Digital mobile radio is IP a unique blend of skills containing both network and RF knowledge is required for the inevitable transformation from Analogue to Digital communication. Motorola has now announced that all Analogue radio models will become end of life February 2015. With both network and RF engineers Scan RF Projects is in a position to offer clients a seamless migration from Analogue to Digital as well as end to end service for a green fields project. • RAJANT Mesh networks for mobile machines – SCAN RF Projects is the sole distributor of Rajant wireless for Africa. Rajant is the market leader for high speed connectivity to mobile machines making it the only choice for communication to heavy machines in both open cast and underground mining. The product is made for purpose addressing the high bandwidth requirements needed for Fleet management systems , dispatch systems , collision avoidance systems and fatigue monitoring
• Broadband wireless connectivity – We provide high capacity carrier grade Wireless Ethernet connectivity both on campus and between campuses. Capacities of more than 1 Gbps is possible
• Complimentary services - As your turnkey solutions partner we provide complimentary products and services such as masts and towers , equipment shelters , generators , solar systems and more
• Network operations center – Since our systems have an impact on Health and Safety as well as production we realize the importance of system availability. We have a 24/7 NOC center monitoring networks ensuring max network up time
