General information

Dr.Thabo Mosendane, is the owner and manager of Melrose Medical, a GP practice established with the aim of empowering individuals to make choices that will lead to physical, mental and social well-being.

Based in the Melrose Arch precinct, Melrose Medical was established after a brief period where Dr Thabo worked with the late Dr Mosenadne at Mosendane Medical for short while before its closure. Dr Thabo is a medical graduate with post graduate experience and accreditations in Internal Medicine and Health Informatics. Dr. Thabo is an experienced clinical analyst and researcher with experience gained from working at the highest level of innovation at Discovery Health and Reproductive Health and Research Unit in the TB/HIV integration unit.

Dr Thabo has conducted and published research on various projects including:

• Evaluation of the TB Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) diagnostic study (2009)
• Evaluation of the Inteferon-γ release assay (IGRA) (2008); TB/HIV integration (2007)
• Shift work amongst nurses in an academic hospital in South Africa (2007).
