How we started
When Andile Mnguni (“Andile”), an architect by profession, started making furniture for his home as a weekend hobby in 2010, he had no idea that that would be the start of an extraordinary quality brand, that would bring an interesting dynamic to the Johannesburg furniture industry. When friends and family saw the unique, premium quality, trendy and modern furniture that Andile produced in his free time, they began to make orders and pledged to pay for similar items of furniture. Andile and his partners embarked on a journey to grow the Trenery Setters brand through having sales consultants in Pretoria, Joburg and Cape Town with a show room planned to open in Fourways in August 2014.
What we offer
Today Trenery Setters designs and manufactures bedroom, lounge and dining furniture with over 70 standard designs to choose from, and makes tailor made designer furniture to our client’s specification. All our furniture items are made to order, ensuring that you receive exactly what you want, and enabling us to afford you exceptional quality at a reasonable price. Because we cut out the middle man by selling directly to our clients, have no storage costs, and produce all our items locally thus eliminating transport and import costs, we are able to bring an exceptional quality product that is truly proudly South African, at a reasonable cost.
Trenery Setters Furniture has over 15 consultants based around Johannesburg, Pretoria and Capetown, with a show room opening in August 2014. Our consultants do home consultations for those not able to our factory. Our consultants are well equipped with our brochures and material samples to give you a feel of our remarkable quality.
