Trailord was started by arguably Africa's greatest trailer Design Engineer, Rui da Silva in 2000. Da Silva, who is still involved in the business to this day guiding all technical aspects of design and manufacturing, is the winner of 2 prestigious SABS design awards as well as runner up in the International Swedish Steel Design Awards.
Rui da Silva's designs have been the benchmark for all others to follow and have transformed the trailer industry on a number occasions over the past 44 years leading many to imitate and copy his designs.
Trailord today is run by his son Roberto da Silva who through his management and marketing expertise continues to drive the business forward with the same passion, quality and innovation that has always been synonymous with the Trailord brand.
