The Porta Property Group

General information

The Porta Property Group was established in 1996 by three brothers Andre Combrinck, the late Chris Combrinck and Koos Combrinck and traded under the name of Porta Property Development. During 2005 the shares of Koos Combrinck was bought by the other shareholders and they continued building up this very successful property development company to where it is today.

Black Eagle Estate was the first project undertaken as a complete development from land purchase, rezoning, township establishment, proclamation, design and installation of engineering services and the building of 11 (eleven) cluster units for clients on a plot on plan basis. This work was managed from their homes in Pretoria and Roodepoort. During 1999 the company moved into rented office space, Panorama Office Estate, Allensnek, Roodepoort and later purchased the 250m² office block from where they still operate.

Next was a 30 unit sectional title complex, Engelwood, in Roodepoort, which was undertaken in 1999. This was followed by 50 sectional title projects ranging from 9 to 100 units in the West Rand and Centurion/Pretoria areas. A total of 1558 units were built until mid 2008. The refurbishment of luxury homes were also undertaken during 2001 in Roodepoort.

Another proud first was a 147 erven full title security residential township development, Eldo Meadows, in Centurion. This was followed by three others, Le Mirage (56 erven) in Roodepoort, The Cosmos (12 sectional title stands of between 1ha – 2ha) and Cosmos View (8 sectional title stands of 1ha – 2ha) in Kosmosdal x66 & x67, Centurion respectively. The latter was completed early in 2008.

During 2003 an office has also been established in the Western Cape by Johan Combrinck, younger brother of Chris, Andre and Koos Combrinck from where development projects are undertaken by appointing turn-key project teams. The first development successfully completed was a full title residential development comprising of 30 upmarket units called Olive Grove in Somerset West. Since then Projects completed where four sectional title residential complexes (83 units), a luxurious 3 storey house in the famous Kanonberg Resisdential Estate in Plattekloof, two sectional title office complexes in joint ventures with other parties and a sectional title industrial development comprising of 25 units which was completed early in 2009.

The company is registered with the NHBRC and MBA (Gauteng) as an approved contractor and is in good standing with both organizations.
