Tekweni Backpackers Hostel

General information

It is pretty common knowledge that Tekweni is known for its party atmosphere. Over the years we have had some great ones. And our location just off off Florida Rd speaks for itself. Ive often said that if I could move the hostel anywhere else in Durbs, I wouldn't move it an inch. Our facilities have improved and expanded over the years which is great. But anyone who has heard one of my speeches at one of our birthdays or Pre-Indaba Parties will have heard me go on about the importance of the people involved. And by people in this case I mean those who have run Tekweni and made it happen. We have had many really great people involved over our 23 years so far. And that is what it really is about. The people! Without these people we would be nothing. And these people have attracted other great people in our guests. Over the years it is mind blowing the quality of wonderful guests we have had through our doors. And when I look back at what I wanted to achieve out of Tekweni, it is pretty much what I got. And it is music to my ears when I hear these very cool people saying what other cool people have been saying all these years. “Tekweni goes off!”
