STEYN LE ROUX TRUTER ARCHITECTS was established in 1990 and originally situated in cape town's cbd. the practice recently moved into their newly renovated offices in century city cape town. this established architectural firm have extensive experience in upmarket residential projects, commercial, retail and industrial developments as well as specialized building types, such as wine cellars and distribution centres
over a period of 25 years, the firm of slta was, and still is, commissioned to design many retails centres of various sizes in most developing African countries. this involvement equipped us with a broad spectrum knowledge in all aspects of construction, assembly and engineering disciplines, which together with the latest architectural 3D software enable us to advance the design before presenting a detailed solution to our clients. completed developments include retail and commercial centres in namibia, angola, democratic republic of congo, nigeria, ghana, mozambique, malawi, mauritius, tanzania and south africa. many of the centres are developed for shoprite checkers properties, novare equity partners, other south african retailers and across border developers. the company, previously named jordaan hartwig steyn le roux architects, was renamed and re-branded under the directorship of louis steyn and shanne truter.
