Our name is Luggage Factory because, from 1908 to 1990, we manufactured travel goods in the USA as York Luggage Co. The company grew to be the third-largest manufacturer of travel goods in the USA, through partnerships with J.C Penney, Bloomingdales, Macys and Sears. We also helped usher in the age of designer handbags, manufacturing private-label bags for Members Only, Formula 1, Jordache, Diane Von Furstenberg and Christian Dior. Our company also has managed and owned dozens of retail travelgoods stores over the years, including Tumi stores, and today we proudly operate the Luggage Factory store in Ringoes, New Jersey.
